Preparation work really makes for a successful, long lasting paint job. At Tip Top Painting we are thorough and detail in our preparation of your home. Usually 75% of the time it takes to paint your home is spent in preparation, with only 25% of the time actually spent painting.
- We power wash and thoroughly clean the home of all dust and debris
- Cover, remove or protect items that are against the structure. Mask doors, windows, and fixtures to avoid damage to these items
- Determine type of paint that has been used in the past and choose the appropriate primer. This will allow the two surfaces to bond
- Scrape, sand, and spot prime gutters and downspouts
- Scrape, sand, caulk, spackle, putty and perform minor repairs on fascia, siding, entryways and doors. Remove hooks and nails at client’s request, fill and repair holes
